Through the 13 years period, from 2002, while having worked on Relief, Rehabilitation, Legal Aid and Trauma Counseling with the families who survived the 2002 Gujarat Violence, we moved on to working on Peace and Social Reconciliation with the Hindu/Dalit and Muslim Communities residing in Gomtipur, Ramol, Naroda Patiya, Vatva and Bombay Hotel and then extended the same work in the 18 rural villages of Dahegam and Mehmdabad Blocks.

SAHR WARU organizes different programs and events for Social Reconciliation where members from both the communities come together for a common occasion to celebrate national events like Republic Day on 26thJanuary, Independence Day on 15th of August, 8th March for International Human Rights Day, 30th November for South Asian Women’s Day for Peace, and 10th December for the Human Rights Day, Roza Iftari, Diwali Milan, Quran Khani, 16 Days Global Campaign, Gandhi Jayanti 2nd October, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti 14th April, Friendship Day for youth and exposure visits to the different places.
