Quran Khani is a Prayer for Peace of the Departed souls and for the survivors of Violence from conflicts.

  • Every year SAHR WARU conducts a Quran Khani program at least in one or more working areas by reading the holy book Quran with both Hindu – Muslim SANS ( Shanti ane Nyay Samiti) members in the memory of whom who lost their lives in the 2002 communal riot. Both Muslim and Hindu women in the working areas of SAHR WARU conduct this program without any discrimination. This is one of the Peace Building Program under SAHR WARU’s Objective to enhance Peace & Pluralism in the working areas.
  • The purpose of Quran Khani is extremely meaningful, i.e. after 13 years of Gujarat Riots, they want to erase the conflict between each community & also discrimination, which is happened based on Caste, Race, Religion, Gender and Class and reestablish trust and bonding between communities.

  • This effort is by women in the identity of Peace makers.
